March 20, 2012 – American Heart of Poland, recently acquired by Advent International, has invested in Carint Scanmed, a cardiovascular treatment clinic, strengthening its position in the Małopolska and Podkarpackie provinces.
Carint Scanmed is a leading operator of cardiovascular treatment services located within the hospital of St. Rafal in Krakow, Poland. It is fully equipped with state-of-the art facilities, including a hybrid room and is staffed by highly qualified medical practitioners. The clinic plays an important and valuable role in the hospital healthcare system of the southern part of Krakow and the surrounding area.
American Heart of Poland purchased the 50%+1 stake in Carint Scanmed from Scanmed Group, which is owned by Black Lion Fund, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The strategic acquisition consolidates American Heart of Poland’s commitment to increasing its capabilities in offering the highest standards of cardiovascular treatment through organic growth and acquisitions. It is also a next step in furthering the development and expansion of the company’s infrastructure and range of services.
