Alex Bowman joined Advent in 2014 and is a Senior Director in London. He is a member of the Portfolio Support Group. Alex works with management teams to improve performance and deliver results needed to realize the investment thesis.
Prior to joining Advent, Alex was a business planning director at Easynet Global Services, a private equity-backed provider of managed data networks, where he was responsible for strategic planning and commercial finance. Prior to Easynet, he was Head of Strategy and Finance at gumtree.com, an eBay company, and an investment manager at Aurigo Management Partners, a private equity fund focused on UK retail and services. Alex started his career as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company, where he spent five years advising corporate clients on operational and performance improvement projects in Europe, the U.S. and South Africa, as well as carrying out numerous commercial due diligence assignments for private equity clients.
Alex holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin, Ireland.
