Alfred Xu joined Advent in 2018 and is a Director in Shanghai. He is a member of the Portfolio Support Group. Alfred works with management teams to improve performance and deliver results needed to realize the investment thesis.
Prior to joining Advent, Alfred led corporate strategy, market intelligence, and transformation at the Asia headquarters of Johnson Controls, a global diversified technology and multi-industrial conglomerate. Before that, he was a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, where he worked with senior executives of both multinational companies and domestic Chinese companies on corporate strategy, growth initiatives, and performance improvement projects. Alfred began his career as a strategy analyst with Accenture.
Alfred earned a BS in Life Sciences from Fudan University in Shanghai.
