Norman Blum joined Advent in 2011 and is a Senior Director in Hamburg. He is a member of the Portfolio Support Group. Norman works with management teams to improve performance and delivers results needed to realize the investment thesis.
Prior to joining Advent, Norman spent six years in operating roles with two Permira portfolio companies, Rodenstock GmbH and Provimi Holding B.V. At Provimi, his roles ranged from serving as Head of the Program Management Office; Marketing & Technical Director for their operations in Poland and Ukraine, and most recently, as the business’ global Integration Manager. At Rodenstock, Norman was responsible for strategy and the transformation program office. Prior to joining Permira’s portfolio companies, Norman worked at A.T. Kearney GmbH for six years, and before that worked at Bayer AG.
Norman has a diploma and PhD in Business from Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management (WHU).
