Marcelo Penna joined Advent in 2020 and is a Director in São Paulo. He advises on investments in the business & financial services and technology sectors. Marcelo has advised on eight investments during his career, three while at Advent.
Prior to joining Advent, Marcelo worked in Vinci Partners from 2009 to 2020. As a Partner, he focused on private equity investments in the business services, retail, and technology, media, and telecom industries. Before that, Marcelo worked in UBS Pactual’s Legal department as the lawyer responsible for structuring and negotiating private equity and capital market deals.
Marcelo holds a Law degree from Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School.
