Rick Abbott joined Advent in 2010 and serves as a Director in the Global Tax Group, based in Boston. He is responsible for federal, state and international tax reporting matters of the Investment Funds, the Management Company, and its worldwide subsidiaries.
Prior to joining Advent, Rick was Vice President and Director of Global Tax Compliance for Wellington Management Company. Before that, he was a Senior Tax Manager with GE Capital.
Rick received his BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. He later received both his MBA and MS in Taxation, graduating with distinction, from Bentley College. Rick is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
