Sharad Saxena joined Advent in 2022 and is a Vice President in Mumbai. He is a member of the Portfolio Support Group. Sharad works with management teams to improve performance and deliver results needed to realize the investment thesis.
Prior to joining Advent, Sharad was the CEO of the used car business at Car Dekho, one of India’s leading automotive startups. Before that, he worked with OYO Rooms, a global online budget hotel player, where he led different businesses, including serving as the COO of its India hotels franchisee business. Sharad began his career with McKinsey & Company, where he worked for five years with global clients on numerous strategy, operational improvements, and revenue acceleration projects across sectors, with a focus on pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and financial services.
Sharad holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.
